What is fueling Martina Nicholas? (@4allcurlkind)
- To heal my own inner child. I didn’t grow up seeing myself represented in the media or in the world, so I love being the representation to my guests to show them that their authenticity is beautiful and enough.

Times and textures are changing. So many guests want to wear their natural texture, and I want to make sure us stylists have every opportunity to not only keep up but provide a safe space for all guests.
- To spark change in my own community. I provide guests with the tools needed to feel like their hair is less of a burden and more of themselves and their self expression.
- A creative outlet. It gives me the creativity to use visual techniques to create structure and shape and allows me to truly feel like an artist.
- My own life experience. I transitioned my hair in 2017 and learned as I went. Through different brands as well as trial and error, I was able to ge to the place I am now where I love my hair and the confidence and uniqueness it gives me. I can truly identify all of the insecurities and difficulties but also beauty that comes from truly accepting yourself.
