Award-winning nail tech and OPI Educator Vu Nguyen frequently spends his time painting elaborate landscapes and gorgeous floral designs on nails – so we were surprised to learn that in a past life he actually worked as a tattoo artist.
Though his creative ability certainly transferred well over to the nail industry, we were perplexed by his choice to leave a seemingly more rugged environment to join the beauty industry.
So, why the change? Vu shares:
“My mother isn’t a big fan of tattoos. I went to beauty school with her because it was close to my home and about one hour from my mom’s house. At first, I wasn’t a fan of doing nails – until I discovered nail art!”
