If you're a geek or a nerd, May 4 is likely one of your favorite days of the year. Why, you ask? Well, it's Star Wars Day!
Called May the 4th Be With You, this day serves as a celebration for all of the media in the Star Wars franchise, created by George Lucas. It's the perfect time to pull out your light saber and practice your skills, so you can be ready to be the next Jedi knight! If you prefer a more relaxed celebration, you can always get cozy with a glass of blue milk and a meiloorun and watch "Revenge of the Sith" ... again.
Of course, every celebration calls for the perfect attire! If you're looking to get glammed up for Star Wars Day, look no further! Here, Wrexham, North Wales nail tech Grace Andrew (@nailss.by.gracie) shares a tutorial for a nail set featuring the world's cutest creature Grogu!
How-To:
Galaxy Nails
- Start off with your favorite color and shape of @nailorder Xtensions (Long Coffin in ‘Bestie’ is my personal favorite).
- Paint some squiggles in a black liner gel, and top with a black flash gel - mine is Saturn from SISSI.
- Add some twinkle shapes with a white liner gel, top coat and you’re done!
Grogu Accent Nail
- Begin painting a rectangle in a muted brown color around 1/8th the way up the nail, with a slightly lighter brown above for another 1/8th. Then, cure.
- Paint a green oval on top, with two small triangles coming off each side as well as small star shape just underneath for the hand. Cure again.
- Add two small black lemon shapes at either side of your oval shape for the eyes, and add small white dots for highlights.
- With a 25mm liner brush, add small pink details in the triangles to make his ears.
- Mix the green gel you used with a slight bit of brown for a darker shade to use for details. Paint three small lines on the top of the head, outline the eye shapes and add a small half circle in-between the eyes.
- Using your brown gel, outline the rectangle shape to give his cloak definition.
- Use your favorite non-wipe glossy top coat, and cure to finish!
