OPI joined Houghton Bride for the line’s first “Engagement Party” on Sunday, October 14, at NYC Bridal Week, where over-the-top nails were paired with stylish, non-traditional wedding gowns, dresses and tailored suits. For the launch of Houghton Bride, designer Katharine Polk selected traditional French manicures for models, with a decidedly different twist – nails were painted with a base of OPI nail lacquer in Samoan Sand and DS Glow (a rose gold hue infused with diamond dust) on the tips, while rhinestones adorned the smile line separating the two.
These unique nails complemented the Houghton Bride collection, where detailing, beadwork, lace and silk could be found on alternative bridal designs such as romantic blouses, skinny cigarette pants, and ruffled skirts.
