OPI Products not only is releasing a polish collection in anticipation of the Miss Universe Pageant scheduled September 12th in São Paulo, Brazil, but the woman who decides all those fabulous colors took a more active role than nail hues at the Miss USA Pageant.
Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI executive vice president and artistic director, had the privilege of being one of the Miss USA pageant’s celebrity judges at the live telecast from the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas on June 19. Other judges included Tyson Chandler of the Dallas Mavericks, Penn Jillette of Penn & Teller, Chef Rocco DiSpirito, actress Mariel Hemingway, rapper Lil Jon and Caroline Manzo from Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
OPI will release its limited edition Miss Universe by OPI Collection beginning in August. It features four shades packed with shimmer and sparkle. “Miss Universe is the most popular and publicized beauty pageant in the world,” says Weiss-Fischmann. “We are excited to partner with the Miss Universe Organization, whose contestants provided so much inspiration for rich, high-fashion color.”
Miss California Alyssa Campanella won the Miss USA crown in Vegas and will go on to compete in the Miss Universe competition.
