As fall rolls in, we’re naturally drawn to warmer, earthier tones in fashion and on fingers. And when it comes to nail art, texture and patterns that reflect our favorite seasonal duds (think chunky knits and soft flannels) are a must have. So, for this cover, we turned to the talented Artistic Nail Design educator Christina Gonzales-Glennon. She garnered inspiration from the brand’s latest autumn collection Decked Out Dandy, which features Artistic’s “Teddy Girl” decked out in soft plaids and preppy houndstooth. For the cover look, Gonzales-Glennon began by extending the model’s nails with Artistic Putty and accompanying Putty Pro Tool, sculpting them into an almond shape. She then used Artistic Colour Gloss in Redwardian to coat the nails. To add some fall flair, Gonzales-Glennon used a striper brush loaded with glitter-flecked Make the Rules (also from the collection) to create a plaid pattern. Not only is this simple style right on trend, but it’s super easy to recreate in the salon!

Feeling Dandy

Whether your clients are looking for creams or glitters, the six shades in the Decked Out Dandy collection feature a slew of contrasting finishes. From shimmering bronze Hands Off My Teddy and opaque lavender We Play Ruffles to perfect crimson Redwardian and silver foil I Make the Rules (both seen on the cover), the festive hues come in both lacquer and gel polish for the ultimate in versatility.
