Get to know Twe Truong (@nailsbytwe_blacksburg). She is a 28-year-old nail tech at Top Nails in Blacksburg, VA.
Q&A:
Nailpro (NP): What is a fun fact about you?
Twe Truong (TT): I have a fluffy tabby cat named Bubbles.
NP: How did you get started as a nail tech?
TT: It’s a family business! I basically grew up in a nail salon, so I was around nails my whole life! I was able to get my cosmetology license in 2013, but I didn’t work as a full time nail tech until 2018.
NP: What do you love about your job?
TT: Just being able to create art everyday
NP: Where do you find inspiration?
TT: Other nail techs on Instagram! There’s so many insanely talented nail techs out there
NP: What is a piece of advice you would give other nail technicians who are just getting started?
TT: Practice makes perfect, truly.
NP: What is your favorite nail trend right now?
TT: Chrome, of course!
NP: What is your favorite service to offer?
TT: Acrylics
NP: What is one of your proudest achievements as a nail tech?
TT: This!
NP: What do you love about the nail community/industry?
TT: It’s just fun! There’s always new trends to try or new techniques to learn.
NP: What are your top goals as a nail tech?
TT: Continue to grow and improve my skill, attend more conventions and workshops and connect with more nail techs.
