The Professional Beauty Association (PBA) presents the California Compliance Symposium August 19, 2019 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Coty Headquarters in Calabasas, California.
This exclusive event will feature leading beauty industry experts as they take an in-depth look at critical California labor and wage laws. The California Compliance Symposium is designed to aid salon business owners in running their operations effectively to save time and resources to allow reinvestment into salon businesses.
This one-day comprehensive conference will examine critical beauty industry topics and issues including legal forms of compensation, creating compliant
booth rental establishments, differences in pay, state
payroll taxes and more.
The Professional Beauty Association’s Government Affairs Director Myra Reddy explains, “Business owners in our industry have experienced a number of recent changes to California labor and wage laws. It is extremely important to be compliant with any new laws and legal decisions. We want to help our members operate compliant and successful businesses by providing experts at events like our California Symposium who can share clear and correct information regarding sometimes complex issues.”
Panel speakers at the Composium include PBA’s executive director, Steve Sleeper, IRS area director Dawn Harris and executive director of the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology Licensing Kristy Underwood.
