Good Food. Good Feet. Good Friday (GF3) served the homeless on April 19, where volunteers provided a meal, palliative foot care, Bombas socks and care packages inside a specially designed CityPak backpack for Columbia, South Carolina’s traveling neighbors.

“This day of compassion for our travelling neighbors became an event the volunteers and recipients look forward to,” said GF3 founder and certified master pedicurist Donna Muszynski. “Foot care is essential as a vehicle to food, to work and back to safety for these people.”

Christ Central Ministries, located right off Main Street, hosts the charity, where as many as 300 guests received a hot breakfast, foot washing and advanced foot care and takeaway lunch. Laymen, nail technicians and medical personnel all volunteered in various roles. Guests return each year, traveling from nearby towns, to receive the valued service for their feet.

Volunteers were required to attend a training and orientation service prior to the day’s event. Professional nail technicians and industry leaders from as far as Ohio travelled to participate in this annual day of service.
