In her Italian manicure tutorial on TikTok, Manicurist Alexandra Teleki explains that the nail-painting technique involves applying a gel polish as close to the cuticle as possible without touching the skin.
You can try the technique on your clients by using a thin nail brush soaked with acetone to create space between each side of the nail and the polish. Italian manicures are a great way to ease into nail art, and might help you become more comfortable using nail brushes without committing to a full-blown nail art masterpiece.
