Celebrity nail artist Rose Hackle brought bold and vibrant designs to life on "Wicked" movie star Cynthia Erivo’s fingertips at the Tony Awards.

The biggest and brightest stars in musical theatre were out in full force for this year's Tony Awards to recognize achievement in Broadway productions during the 2023–24 season.

Erivo attended the Tony's and presented the award for Best Musical alongside Idina Menzel, who originated the role of Elphaba in "Wicked" on Broadway, with both the stars celebrating their green girl power.

For a very wicked night, Hackle (@rosedoesmynails) created a nail look that incorporated 3D flowers and Swarovski crystals directly onto the nails.

"Cynthia chose the colors, and I went to work creating something special to remind everyone to bloom boldly in every shade, for the world needs your vibrant spirit," shares Hackle.

Below, Hackle shares her step-by-step process for creating Erivo's stunning nail look for the night using products from OPI

  1. Full soak off removal of previous nail set.
  2. Apply sculpted stickers and sculpted acrylic base to an XXL stiletto shape and length.

  4. After the acrylic base, apply OPI Your Way shades in $elf MadeTaurus-t Me, and Without A Pout using an airbrush.
  5. With a dotting tool and blooming gel, apply colors to create a nice psychedelic effect to play off of the 3D flowers.
  6. Mold 3D flowers using sculpting hard gel and paint colorful accents using OPI shades in (Bee)FFR & Apricot AF, on top to bring the flower to life and tie it in with the rest of the set.
  7. Apply 3D accents using a medium viscosity charm glue and green and pink Swarovski stones to make the end result pop.
  8. Apply one coat of OPI GelColor Stay Shiny Top Coat and OPI Nail & Cuticle Oil to complete the set.
