Celebrities Stun in Essie at 2019 Grammy Awards

Grammy Award winners, nominees and presenters Anna Kendrick, Alicia Keys, Camila Cabello and Tori Kelly—just to name a few—paired stunning gowns with Essie nail looks for the 2019 red carpet event.

Anna Kendrick opted for a feathered manicure to match her Ralph & Russo ensemble. “We collaborated on a fun and whimsical manicure to mimic the dainty feathers in her pink Ralph & Russo mini dress,” said said celebrity manicurist Michelle Saunders. “The blue, pink and metallic accents made for a modern, yet romantic nail look.”

Recreate the Look

1. Apply two coats of Essie Couture sheer white Lace Is More for the base—and to add a hint of gold shimmer.
2. Use a small fan brush to paint feather-like strokes towards the middle of the nail with First View. Start in one corner of the nail, and move towards the center.
3. Repeat the feathering technique with shades Pink Diamond and No Place Like Chrome. Overlap shades to create depth.
4. Finish with the Platinum Top Coat for gel-like shine.
