Emily Zajac from Kitchener Ontario, Canada

What inspires Emily’s work:

“Other techs from all over the world inspire my work. I troll Pinterest constantly for inspiration and I especially adore and look up to Holly L. Meghann Rosales from Austin, Texas

Meghann describes how she got started doing nail art:

“My background is cartooning, and nail art is very similar. I draw tiny pictures in tiny panels. When I fell in love with nail art several years ago, I had a hard time finding someone locally who could do the designs I loved on my natural nails. So I decided to go to nail school in order to open my business. Now I get to draw all day and chat with rad ladies!”

Carmen talks about one of her favorite nail tech moments:

“I did a little girl’s nails and when I was done, she wouldn’t put her hands down, she gave me the biggest brightest smile and said her hands are pretty now. Best payment I’ve ever gotten.”

“With the product I use, which is an organic protein based gel, my go-to tool is actually a metal dental pick! I use it to add color on the nail and to form the C-Curve.”

Debbie talks about her other outlet for creating nail art:

“I am inspired by the many VERY talented friends in my life. I have had the opportunity to work with a photographer/friend at Kreatid Photography & Design, doing nails for editorial photo shoots. It is a unique outlet to share my love for what I do.”

Liudmila Zacharova from Pilar de la Horadada, Spain!

Liudmila loves doing water marble style nails and has a tip for nail techs on the technique:

“My best tip would be to use a cream to protect the fingers instead of sello-tape when doing water marble designs! So much easier to remove the excess polish from your fingers by wiping it off with a cotton bud. I feel it gives your fingers more flexibility when you dip it in the water.”
