Spring is upon us, which means the resurgence of pastels, neutrals and all things floral. While I do love a good floral, spring fashion runways showed pops of kelly green, chocolate, red and deep grey. So, I ask you, how would your clientele react to mixing things up this spring? I have hand-selected the following shades from spring collections launched by some amazing industry leaders to bring your clients some sass this spring, perhaps with a side of floral.
1. CND Hazy Games
When it comes to neutrals, grey is always my default (unless you count black). There is so much you can do with a smoky grey, and this slate grey crème from CND's Across the Mani-Verse Spring 2024 collection has just the right amount of purple to make it hip and playful. As you may have guessed, the collection draws inspiration from an alternate reality while embodying the essence of spring. "The finishes reflect an interplay of light that transports users and allows endless options for nail art and self-expression!” states CND co-founder Jan Arnold. All six shades in the collection are available in Shellac and Vinylux options. www.cnd.com
2. Kiara Sky Classy Bee
We see so much sparkle around the holidays and the New Year, but we all have clients that want to sparkle all year long. Kiara Sky recently launched Love Sparks, its Diamond FX line of eight ultra reflective glitters. Though the line has a number of radiant shades, it was the sparkling gold, Classy Bee, that caught my eye. What doesn't go with gold, am I right? Use it on its own, for an accent nail or as part of unique nail design. https://kiarasky.com
3. Glitterbels Cuddle Buddy
Purple can be considered a seasonal color, with lilacs and lavenders typically seen in spring and deeper, rich tones of eggplant and dark berry more reserved for colder weather. However, between them, I find that a bright plum like this one from Glitterbels, can be worn year round. This recent launch from the brand is a nice balance of rich and bright, for a tone that is sure to grab attention. https://glitterbels.com
4. Zoya Phoebe
All I have to say is watermelon cream, and you are interested, right?! As part of its beautiful Spring 2024 collection Bloom, Zoya introduced six new shades (three shimmers and three creme shades) including this perfect mix of red, pink and coral tones that has me captivated. Although the pink and rose pink shades are equally lovely, Phoebe is truly the perfect shade for both spring and summer manis. I have a feeling this may become a big requests from your clients as weather warms up. https://zoya.artofbeauty.com
5. Ella + Mila Call Me Jade
What shade is luckier in the month of March than green!? For its 10 year anniversary, Ella and Mila introduced Jeweled Elegance, a collection of eight irridescent shades inspired by gemstones. Although I am partial to sapphires, I was immediately draw to Call me Jade, a shimmery dark green sage with a satin finish. This shade of green is perfect for floral nail art, but catches the eye just by itself. www.ellamila.com
6. Beauty Innovation Blossom 485
The energy of springtime was the inspiration for Beauty Innovation's new launch, Blossom. This four product collection includes two cateye shades and two shimmer shades, all designed to sparkle like dew on newly blossomed flowers. Blossom 485 is a lavender cateye gel that is just right for spring. Use it on its own or incorporate it into your cateye nail art for a refreshing spring look. www.mybeautyinnovation.com
7. Madam Glam Treasure
Just in time for the celebration of St. Patrick's Day, Madam Glam has introduced its spring collection Pot O'Gold. Each shade in the new collection is as fun as it sounds, but the brand's new glitter gel formula has me doing a double take on Treasure, a deep rose glitter. The new formula mimics the opulent appearance of foil for extra sparkle. If the rose glitter is too understated for you, a gold and green glitter are also available. madamglam.com
8. V Beauty Pure Bodacious
Wth a name like Bodacious, how could anything be bad? As this name implies, this shade of acrylic by V Beauty Pure is bold, audacious and eye catching. Let your spring and summer sets stand out with this light, vibrant orange, perfect to combine with lighter shades of pink or even this year's Pantone color Peach Fuzz. This self-leveling formula is made with a find powder for easy workability, especially for acrylic beginners. https://vbeautypure.com
