Varnish Lane has acquired The Water Room, a southern nail salon brand with locations in Charleston and Atlanta.

Varnish Lane is a national nail care destination and a pioneer of the waterless manicure concept.

Varnish Lane currently owns and operates three salons in Washington, D.C., with a fourth D.C. shop, and a location in Charlotte, North Carolina, opening in late fall 2021.

The two locations will be converted into Varnish Lane’s waterless, environmentally-friendly salons, offering manicures and pedicures, with their signature process that substitutes tubs of water for hot towels, natural skin care products and deep massages.

Varnish Lane’s manicures and pedicures save up to 15 gallons of water per service and last longer.

“With Jessica’s background in clean beauty and reputation as a national influencer, The Water Room has built a solid foundation on which we can continue to grow Varnish Lane’s market ownership,” said co-founder Carrie Dunne. “The Water Room has done an incredible job of building awareness, loyalty and demand for clean nail services. In addition to having secured some highly coveted retail locations in each respective city, The Water Room has cultivated an incredible employee base and culture that resonated with our team at Varnish Lane.”
