Orly celebrated the company’s roots in Los Angeles with a Made in L.A. event on Monday, May 4, 2015. Guests, including Orly notables and an array of international distributors, gathered on the rooftop of Perch restaurant in downtown L.A. to commend the brand and its founder Jeff Pink for 40 years in business in the City of Angels.
Of course, a great celebration is nothing without a few surprises—and the evening was chockfull of them! While guests sipped on cocktails and took in the sunset view, three special guests arrived to honor Pink: Jack Sperling, founder of JDS Manufacturing and Alpha 9 and is credited with introducing Pink to the beauty industry; Deborah Carver, president/CEO of NAILPRO and longtime friend to Orly’s founder; and Leslie Stevens, cofounder of LaForce + Stevens and publicist for the Van Nuys, California-based nail company.
However, the biggest surprise of the evening came with the arrival of Los Angeles mayor Eric Garcetti, who presented Pink with a certificate from the city of L.A.
NAILPRO would like to congratulate Orly and Jeff Pink for 40 years in the nail industry. We can’t wait to see what you’ll come up with next!
