Blake Lively brought the glam to the Michael Kors show during NYFW with her “Mob Wife” giraffe print manicure.

The look was created by manicurist Elle Gerstein (@enamelle) using gel products from Paris Lash Academy (PLA).

Lively wore “Spice Spice Baby," a medium brown shade from the brand’s Fall Collection - the perfect choice to create what Gerstein referred to as Blake’s “mob wife aesthetic” mani!

“The look was a glam attitude with animal prints and heavy jewelry, with '90s French manicure done in a modern animal print," shares Gerstein, who used PLA and blooming gel to create the fun zebra-esque print on Blake’s nails —the perfect match to her blazer and miniskirt set.

Follow the step-by-step tutorial below to recreate the look for your clients.

How-To:

  1. Start off by painting the nails from the cuticle to halfway down with PLA’s Spice Spice Baby, a rich, medium brown that evokes ultimate mob wife vibes. Blend it with nail polish remover to thin it out. Then, cure the first coat.
  2. After curing the initial color, use blooming gel with dollops of the same Spice, Spice Baby color to create a statement giraffe print. Once the desired effect of the giraffe print is achieved, cure the entire nail. Don’t cure blooming gel by itself but only after getting the desired effect.
  3. To finish the look, use PLA Non Wipe Top Coat for more shine and additional protection. (Bonus: As this is a non-wipe formula, there is no need to remove any tacky or sticky residue after it has cured.) Voila!
