How To Marbleize With Polish Or Acrylic Paint
Step 1: Complete the nail service desired by the clients, except for the polish application.
Step 2: Apply base coat, then two coats of the base color to however many nails the client wishes to have marbleized. White, or any other light color, is ideal as a base because it showcases nail art best. Allow it to dry completely.
Step 3: Pick a contrasting color of polish or acrylic paint. Working on one nail at a time, place several small beads of this color on different areas of the nail plate.
Step 4: On that same nail, quickly drop beads of a second color near the first beads.
Step 5: If you’re using more than two colors to marbleize, continue to quickly drop additional beads of the color on the nail. It’s a good idea not to use more than three or four colors per nail – too many shades results in a muddy-looking nail.
Step 6: Once you’ve applied all the color drops, drag your marbleizing tool through the colors using a swirling motion and swiping from side to side on the nail. Note: Only a few quick swipes through the beads is sufficient to create a swirl design. It’s easy to go overboard, so don’t spend too much time swirling.
Step 7: Repeat steps 3 through 6 on the remaining nails. Note: It’s best to start with the pinkie of one hand. When you’ve finished marbleizing that nail, ask the client to keep her hand flat so the polish or acrylic paint will dry without sliding around. Then, follow steps 3 to 6 on the other pinkie, again asking the client to keep her head flat. Alternate between each hand, allowing the marbleized nails to dry.
Step 8: Apply top coat or nail art sealer to the marbleized nails and allow them to dry.

How To Marbleize With Gel
Step 1: Start the gel service, including shaping and refining the nail.
Step 2: Instead of applying a top coat or sealer gel, apply the base color gel to all of the nails and cure. Do not remove the tacky layer.
Step 3: Place small beads of gel to all of the nails and cure. Do not remove the tacky layer.
Step 4: Place gel beads in a second color near the first set.
Step 5: If you’re using more than two colors, continue to drop beads of the additional color(s) near the beads already on the nail plate.
Step 6: Drag your marbleizing tool through the beads, using a swirling motion and swiping it from side to side.
Step 7: Unless your gel system recommends that you cure only four fingers at a time before working on the thumbs, follow steps 3 to 6 on the rest of the nails and cure the entire hand. If not, proceed as instructed.
Step 8: Repeat 3 to 7 on the other hand, following the manufacturer’s curing directions.
Step 9: Apply top coat or sealer gel to the first hand and cure. Repeat on the other hand.
Step 10: Remove the tacky layer.
