NYFW S/S 2019: essie’s Nail Looks for Monse are Inspired by the Sea

Inspired by the nautical theme of the Monse Spring/ Summer 2019 collection, nail artist Rita Remark for essie, created nail designs that were inspired by sails. “The first look is a white, angled tip shaped like a sail, while the other features two graphic lines,” Remark explained. Remark added that with the right nail tools, a good striping brush of course! This look is easily achievable in any salon setting. Scroll down for the complete step by steps!

Apply one coat of here to stay base coat.

Apply one thin coat of the shade mademoiselle.

Use a striping brush dipped in the shade blanc and paint a diagonal line from the outer edge of the nail to towards the free edge. Fill in the negative space with blanc.

On the opposite hand, paint a thin diagonal line from the side wall up towards the free edge. Then, paint a shorter, horizontal line from the center of the first line out towards the to sidewall.

Seal design with speed.setter top coat.
