Zola Ganzorigt (@nailsbyzola) is a nail artist, best known for creating the glazed donut nail trend. Below, she shares her story, including what advice she would give to other women nail techs who are looking to be just as much of a trailblazer.

Q&A:
Nailpro: How/when did you get started in the nail industry?
Zola Ganzorigt (ZG): Right after I moved to America in 2016, I started doing nails as a part-time job while I was studying. In 2020 when I graduated, I realized I really love doing nails and decided to do it full-time and make it my career.
Nailpro: What makes you passionate about nails?
ZG: Seeing my client’s satisfied reaction after I finish doing their nails and how my job makes someone happy.
Nailpro: What is one of your favorite memories in the nail industry?
ZG: Because of my job, I get to travel with my clients or meet new people. Every time it creates special memories.
Nailpro: What advice do you have for any women in the nail industry who are looking to make waves in the way that you have?
ZG: Love what you do, and be patient. Also, instead trying to do everything, focus on one specific style and become an expert. Lastly, practice makes everything perfect.
Nailpro: What are any goals and aspirations you have for your career going forward?
ZG: In the future, I’d love to teach people everything I know from doing nails to making it a career.
