The Professional Beauty Association (PBA) has called on California’s professional beauty industry to take action amid the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.
A statement released by the association read:
“We need you to share your salon safety protocols with Governor Newsom’s office!
We understand the economic crisis that our beauty industry members are experiencing throughout the state of California and we continue an ongoing dialogue with the governor’s office. As we continue to engage, we need your help! By sharing your recent salon safety protocols and the measures you have taken to make changes to your salon environment, you can make a difference in the reopening process.
Please join us by taking action. Simply share your personal story, explain your current safety protocols and send your statement to elected officials.
Your personal letter will be shared with your local state assembly member, your state senator, the director of the California Department of Public Health and Governor Gavin Newsom.
Thank you for sharing your voice in support of reopening salons.”
