Though Jeremy Scott is known for incredible, eye-catching, almost avant-garde designs in his ready-to-wear collections, the designer balanced out the look with his beauty decisions for this season, where it was all about showbiz and the fangirl.
Working with CND, who created custom nail art for the runway, the models sported long, simple, fire engine red nails. CND also brought in their new Creative Ambassador and long-time Jeremy Scott collaborator Miss Pop.
“The classic red nail has just taken an expected turn. Soaked in the LA sun and worn on a medium length almond, we’re making it cool to wear red again…and of course, adding our own twist!” CND co-founder and style director Jan Arnold said in a press release.
Getting this pop of red was simple with three layers:
- One layer base of Vinylux Weekly Polish in Banana Clips
- One layer of Electric Orange
- One layer topping off with Wildfire.
Some nails, in particular, had hand-painted gold stars reminiscent of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Paired with barely-there makeup and fluttering lashes, the bright pop of color stood out as both playful and timeless with Scott’s statement-making collection.
