Día de los Muertos (the Day of the Dead) is a two-day celebration that originated in present-day Mexico some 3,000 years ago. The holiday, celebrated on Nov. 1 and 2, allows families to reunite with deceased relatives and honor their lives through food, drink, dance and music.
