How-To: Create Cheetah Print and Pastel Marble Nail Art

Light Elegance nail artist Emelie Westin created pastel marble nail art reminiscent of the ocean and a cheetah print design inspired by a true story. Here, she shares her steps to recreate the look.

Step 1
Prep the nail. Apply two coats of a light gel polish to serve as your base color. I opted for white for this look. Cure.

Step 2
Choose different colors or shades of the same color to create a marble design. Here, I applied four similar colors in different areas on the nail. Cure.

Step 3
Blend colors using an ombré brush. Cure.

Step 4
Finish with a shiny or matte top coat. Cure.

Inspired by the time when her godfather saved a three-year-old boy from two cheetahs, Westin created a matte cheetah print nail look.

Step 1
Prep the nail. Paint the bottom  half of the nail white and the top with a nude gel polish. Cure.

Step 2
Blend the two colors using an ombré brush. Cure.

Step 3
Paint an abstract circle with gold gel polish. Cure.

Step 4
Use black gel paint and a dotting tool to create the cheetah print pattern surrounding the gold circle. Finish with shiny or matte top coat.
