How-To: Digital Dew Nails

As summer slowly comes to a close, all eyes are set on the latest and greatest nail colors and designs for the fall/winter 2024 season.

• Apribot: Apricot with a pearl finish that’s trendy and techy
• Purplexity: Deep purple with a gold pearl finish for a dynamic feel
• Teal-Tricity: Teal with a glitter finish to feel electric
• Plantbound: Yellow sage with a créme finish that’s down to earth
• Take Root: Burgundy with a créme finish that’s botany inspired
• Mauve-Morphosis: Clay-inspired mauve that evokes stability

In light of the recent drop, CND offers a tutorial on creating a digital dew design using polishes from the collection.

Digital Dew Tutorial

1. P.E.P. the natural nail. 
2. Apply a thin layer of CND SHELLAC Base Coat. Cure for 10 seconds in the CND LED Lamp using preset button 1.
3. Apply two layers of CND SHELLAC Plantbound. Cure each layer for 1 minute on preset button 2S.
4. Using the brush from the bottle apply a wide horizontal stripe of CND SHELLAC Mauve-Morphosis across the top of the nail below the cuticle area and bottom above the tip of the nail. Do not cure.
5. Using the brush from the bottle, apply a wide horizontal stripe of CND SHELLAC Plantbound across the top of the nail at the cuticle area, the middle of the nail, and bottom of the nail at the tip. Lightly blend the colors together. Cure for 1 minute on preset button 2S.
6. Apply a layer of CND SHELLAC No-Wipe+ Top Coat. Cure for 1 minute using preset button 3.
7. Dispense a small amount of CND PLEXIGEL Builder onto a palette.
8. Use a short liner brush and CND PLEXIGEL Builder to create the pattern. Cure for 1 minute using preset button 2B.
9. Apply a layer of CND SHELLAC No-Wipe+ Top Coat. Cure for 1 minute using preset button 3.
