How-To: Charli D’Amelio and Landon Barker’s Black Nails for the 2023 Grammy Awards

Influencers Charli D’Amelio and Landon Barker walked the 2023 Grammy's red carpet in all black, so of course their nails had to match! 

Celebrity nail artist Brittney Boyce (@nails_of_la) created the nail looks for D'Amelio and Barker using products from CND. 

“Both Charli and Landon wore black, and we wanted to ensure the nails were an extension of the look. We wanted to stay classy but add a little bit of edge, so we went with a classic glossy black nail in medium length almond shaped nails that elongated Charli’s hands, with a chunky piece of chain cuff," Boyce says of D'Amelio's nail look. "We wanted Landon’s look to complement Charli’s with smaller chain pieces wrapping around his cuticle. His pinky nail however is really what ties the stunning couples’ nail looks together!”

Charli D'Amelio How-To: 

1. Begin with CND PLEXIGEL Bonder for optimal adhesion, and cure using CND LED Lamp.
2. Using CND Future Forms to sculpt, apply two coats of CND PLEXIGEL Builder Gel to build medium length almond shaped nails and cure.
3. Apply two coats of CND Shellac Gel Polish in Black Pool and cure, followed by one coat of CND Shellac No-Wipe+ Top Coat for ultimate shine.
4. Adhere 3D silver chain cuffs at the base of the nail, close to the cuticle, and secure with CND PLEXIGEL Builder Gel
5. Seal with a final coat of CND Top Coat, cure and moisturize with CND SolarOil to condition nails and cuticles for a healthy, flawless finish. 

Landon Barker How-To: 

1. Begin with CND Shellac Base Coat, and cure using CND LED Lamp.
2. Apply two coats of CND Shellac Gel Polish in Black Pool and cure, followed by one coat of CND Shellac No-Wipe+ Top Coat for ultimate shine.
3. Using the same silver chain as Charli, cut into little pieces and wrap around the cuticle line, securing with CND PLEXIGEL™ Builder Gel.
4. For the pinky nail, build to a medium length almond shape using CND Future Forms and CND PLEXIGEL Builder Gel.
5. Adhere 3D silver chain cuffs at the base of the nail, close to the cuticle, and secure with CND PLEXIGEL Builder Gel to match Charli’s nail design.
6. Seal with a final coat of CND Top Coat, cure, and moisturize with CND SolarOil to condition nails and cuticles for a healthy, flawless finish.
