This fun gel nail design features adorable ghost figures framed in a Polaroid-style image. Follow these steps for a cute, spooky manicure perfect for Halloween or any time you want to show off some ghostly flair.
Step 1: Apply Your Base Color
1. Prep your nails by shaping, buffing and cleaning them to ensure proper adhesion of the gel.
3. Apply two thin coats of your chosen base color, curing between each coat for 60 seconds. Make sure each coat is even and smooth.
4. Once the base color is fully cured, apply a gel top coat to seal the base and add shine, then cure again.
Step 2: Paint a White Square
1. With a thin nail art brush and white gel polish, paint a small square shape on the nail to mimic the photo part of a Polaroid picture.
2. Make sure the edges are as neat and straight as possible. Cure the white square under the lamp for 60 seconds.
Step 3: Add the Black Rectangle for the Polaroid Picture
1. Inside the white square, use black gel polish to paint a rectangle. Leave a small border of white around the black rectangle to resemble a Polaroid picture frame.
2. Outline the entire white square with black gel polish to make it look more defined.
3. Cure the black details under the lamp for 60 seconds.
Step 4: Paint Two Ghost Figures
1. Using white gel polish, paint two small ghost shapes on the black rectangle. You can make them simple rounded shapes with wavy bottoms to represent the classic ghost.
2. Place the ghosts inside the “photo” area so they appear like they are floating within the Polaroid.
3. Cure the ghost shapes under the lamp for 60 seconds.
Step 5: Add Eyes to the Ghosts
1. Using a dotting tool or a toothpick, dip it into black gel polish and place two dots for eyes on each ghost figure.
2. Cure the eyes under the lamp for 30 seconds.
Step 6: Add the “No Feet” Text
1. Carefully use a thin nail art brush to write “No Feet” in black gel polish on the white space at the bottom of the Polaroid, under the black picture area.
2. Cure the text under the lamp for 60 seconds.
Step 7: Apply Top Coat
1. Once the entire design is complete, apply a final layer of gel top coat to seal the artwork and add a glossy finish.
2. Cure the top coat under the UV/LED lamp for 60 seconds to set everything in place.
