Candy Cane
- Start by painting two coats of black gel polish and cure between layers for 60 seconds.
- Use an eyeshadow applicator to brush on silver chrome over the entirety of the nail.
- (optional) Apply a gel base coat to seal the chrome and cure for 60 seconds. This step will help with the longevity of the chrome on your clients nails. Be sure to cleanse the nail after curing.
- Next, draw the white lines of the candy cane swirls spaced out between each other and cure for 60 seconds.
- Apply no wipe top coat and cure for 60 seconds.
- Use pink gel polish and apply swirls next to the white swirls and sprinkle with a fine white glitter and cure for 60 seconds.
- Dust off residual glitter and the nail is complete.
Flannel With Icicles
- Apply two coats of white gel polish and cure between layers for 60 seconds.
- On an art palette mix together black gel polish and a couple drops of topcoat and base cost to create a hazy black color.
- Paint thick blocks with the hazy black horizontally along the nail and cure for 60 seconds.
- Then paint two long vertical thick lines along the sides of the nail and cure for 60 seconds.
- Apply no wipe topcoat and cure for 60 seconds.
- Draw icicles at the top of nail with white gel polish, sprinkle with fine white glitter and cure for 60 seconds.
- Dust off residual glitter and the nail is complete.
Clear Ornament With Icicles
- Paint two layers of pink gel polish and cure between layers for 60 seconds
- Apply TinoVo Teflon matte top coat and cure for 60 seconds.
- Draw the shape on the ornament bulb with black gel polish and cure for 60 seconds.
- Using an eyeshadow applicator rub on the chrome and dust off excess.
- Apply a gel base coat over the chrome and place a snowflake sequins on the center of the ornament and use a flash cure light for 10 seconds to keep it in place then cure for 60 seconds.
- Use a thick clear rhinestone glue and cover the ornament and use a liner brush to perfect. Hold nail upside down for a few second to create the bulb affect and cure for 60 seconds.
- Paint the string coming from the bulb with black gel polish going up the nail and cure for 60 seconds.
- Apply no wipe top coat and cure for 60 seconds.
- With white gel polish paint the icicles at the top of nail and underneath the ornament and sprinkle with fine white glitter and cure for 60 seconds.
- Dust off residual glitter and the nail is complete.
Velvet Nail
- Apply two layers of pink gel polish cure between layers for 60 seconds.
- Apply a no wipe topcoat and sprinkle on flocking power on the entirety of the nail and cure for 60 seconds.
- Dust off residual powder and the nail is complete.
Scarlett Wooldrik is a 23-year-old nail technician from Omaha, Nebraska. What started as a summer job at a local nail salon turned into a passion for nails. She turned her focus to detailed nail art and began growing clientele. With a now established client base, she is able to have so much more creative freedom on her loyal clients.
