Believe it or not, 2023 is drawing to a close!

With New Year’s Eve fast approaching, it’s time to get decked out in silver and gold! Denmark-based nail artist Fie Pedersen (@fiepedersen.dk) took the time to create a stunning New Year’s nail set and provide a tutorial for how to bring these nail looks to life.

“I always feel like New Year’s Eve is the time to bring out all the glitz and glam and that was the inspiration behind this set,” Pedersen shares.

French Bling

Step 1: Draw a French with a black gel.

Step 2: Mix chrome powder with top coat, and make two dots with your dotting tool.

Step 3: With your liner brush, pull from the middle of the dot to make a star.

Step 4: Apply small drops of basecoat.

Step 5: With your dotting tool, take the glitter pieces and apply them in your base coat dots.

Step 6: Apply top coat, and in the middle of the star, apply a gemstone.

Bling Stars

Step 1: Begin with nail prep by buffing Start by mixing a silver chrome with top coat. Paint an upside down V, and make a line across.

Step 2: Connect the points, and fill out the star.

Step 3: Paint as many stars you want on your nail.

Step 4: Outline the star with a black gel.

Step 5: Follow the outline you draw in the middle to make another star.

Step 6: Apply gemstones and small dots. Finish with top coat.

Midnight Clock

Step 1: Draw a cross with white gel. Connect all the points to make a circle. Fill it out.

Step 2: Mix a silver and a gold chrome with top coat. Start by painting a rim with the gold halfway.

Step 3: Then, apply the silver and blend them together.

Step 4: Outline the rim with a black gel.

Step 5: Paint the numbers and the hands of the clock.

Step 6: Mix some glitter with a base coat and make a fade away from the clock. Finish with top coat.
