Tina Zavala breaks down how she created this festive nail set for the cover of Nailpro's 2021 November/December issue. Check out the step-by-step instructions to help recreate this must-have holiday set.
1. On finished and filed nails, apply two coats of iridescent gel polish, curing fully after each coat.
2. Cut out the nail decal, and soak in warm water for 45 seconds.
3. Remove the decal backing, and pat the decal dry on a paper towel. Wear gloves to avoid getting any dust particles on the nail. Using your fingers, apply the decal to the middle of the nail. Then apply a matte top coat. This will seal the decal in place and provide a nonslip surface for jewel application.
4. Apply a small amount of jewelry gel around the nail decal. Using a rhinestone applicator, place gold crystals around the top and bottom of the decal. Next, apply red crystals on top of the gold in the middle spaces. Then apply silver caviar beads in between each red crystal.
5. Using an E-file with an under-nail cleaner (a long pointy drill bit), drill a hole into the right bottom side of each ring finger.
6. Apply the charm to the hole, and close the charm hook using tweezers, ensuring that the ring is lined up and closed completely.
