Terry Nguyen
@nailedbyterry
Terry Nguyen never had any intention of becoming a nail technician but was so glad she took the leap. As a young child she spent her time in a nail salon going to work with her family. Fast-forward to now, she's been in the industry for 26 years and has owned a salon for 10 years. Her love and passion for the career has led her to be Kiarasky’s master educator and brand ambassador for nearly 8 years where she proudly shares her knowledge with other nail technicians. As a refugee from Vietnam, Terry says she is definitely living her American dream.
1. Work Place
Having a good work place is a good start with positive vibes. Getting along with co-workers helps keep my mind peaceful so I can use more of that energy to be creative.
2. Having the Right Clients
Not every client is meant for us to keep, it’s ok to let some go. When I’m stressed out it’s hard for me to focus on creating and it will show through my work.
3. Free Style
I love when my clients give me 100% of their trust. Their nails are like 10 tiny little blank canvases and I love to use all of my endless imagination on them.
4. Conversation
Being able to have a great conversation helps make your time goes by so fast and it helps me build my relationship with my clients.
5. Being the “ Therapist"
Being able to help my clients by giving them the advice I have and listening to them just so I can help take some stress off for them.
