Spring is the perfect time to freshen up your work space and declutter. Here are some tips and tricks to help you get started with your spring cleaning.

1. Take Inventory

Gather all of your implements and nail tools, including clippers, files, brushes, etc. Go through all of them to see if any need to be deep cleaned, replaced or discarded or work for you and your current services.

2. Organize Your Workspace

Get rid of clutter and organize your workspace, so everything you need is easily accessible. This can help you work more efficiently and reduce stress. Don’t forget to wipe down your bottles and ensure everything is labeled properly per your state board’s regulations.

3. Do A Deep Clean

Deep clean your work area. Clean surfaces, including your worktable and floor, to remove any dirt and grime. Dust light fixtures and vents to reduce the buildup of dust and allergens.

4. Review Swatches

Gather all of your swatches, and make sure they are organized and labeled appropriately. Make sure you aren’t missing any of your current colors, and remove swatches you are out of.

5. Stock Your Supplies

Take inventory of your supplies, and restock anything that’s running low. This is also a good time to review your products and make sure they’re still within their expiration date! Don’t forget to make a list of what you need.

6. Reevaluate your business plan

Take a moment to evaluate your business plan and see if there are any changes you need to make to improve your business. This can include adjusting your pricing, expanding (or streamlining!) your services or offering promotions.

7. Update Records

Update your client records with any new information, and make sure that all information is up-to-date. This can help you provide a better service to your clients and reduce the chance of errors.

8. Refresh Your Décor

Consider updating your décor to create a fresh, inviting atmosphere for your clients. This can include new menus, flowers or artwork. Discard anything that looks worn or dirty.

By following these tips, you can ensure that your work space is organized, efficient and ready for the new season. Happy spring cleaning!
