What is the difference between UV and LED? Which lamp should I buy? Can I get one lamp that will cure everything? What is the difference? To understand the differences, we should first recall how these lamps are similar. All nail curing lamps emit light energy, which reacts with light-sensitive molecules in the product (“photoinitiators”) that start the curing reaction. This reaction hardens the nail by causing the gel molecules to link up into long chains and networks (“polymerization”). So far, so good. But, what are the differences between the two?
