The Cosmo StudioWhile discussing what kind of nail art I should get during my manicure, Thuy Nguyen assured me, “Big Little Lies season 2 is going to be awesome!” She would know; she has been working on set as the manicurist since production started on the hit HBO show. Nguyen has been in the nail industry for 11 years, she has worked with top nail artists in Japan and is also certified with Presto Gel. But, although being a celebrity manicurist has its perks, at the end of the day Nguyen always wanted to own her own salon.
Owner Thuy Nguyen“I wanted to be able to set my hours, see my kids and create a work environment that I wanted to be in everyday.” So, Nguyen with her support system and 11 years experience opened her first beauty salon in 2016 with The Cosmo Studio in Torrance, CA. “Even though I am able to come home at a decent hour and spend time with my family, my husband will always ask for his manicure before bedtime. He is so spoiled!”
