After ten years in the fashion industry, Kristin Gyimah could not ignore her dream of one day opening a nail salon. “[I really wanted] to create a unique nail experience that provides the two things I believe are key ingredients in the pursuit of happiness…luxury and authenticity. When I envisioned Dime, I saw a place where a collection of people from different walks of life could meet and share their love of nails, a company that reflects my worldview, a collection of different cultural experiences coming together to make beautiful art.” On a mission to create a nail salon that would benefit not only clients but her staff as well, Gyimah opened her first salon in the Little Ethiopian neighborhood of the Los Angeles Fairfax District.
On Friday June 8th, special guests were invited to celebrate the opening of Dime Nails LA. Treated to champagne and tray passed snacks, guests were able to bid on special salon packages where all proceeds were donated to a local charity and purchase one of a kind salon merchandise created by Savage Muse, who collaborated with Dime Nails LA to create designs for the opening.
Dime Nails LA offers polish and gel manicure services as well as hard gel and acrylic extension services. Nail art, men’s manicures and facial masks are also available.
