While veteran nail techs are invaluable resources because of their experience, there’s a new crop of talented young artists who are turning the nail industry upside down. So, we decided to scout some of the best 20-something nail pros for our first-ever 30 Under 30 awards. Get to know one of our winners, Brittnay Lopez!

Fremont, California-based nail artist Lopez started sculpting with nail forms even before attaining her license and would do her own full sets after binging countless YouTube tutorials—including Suzie from Nail Career Education. Celebrating her third license anniversary this month, the Pamper Nail Gallery artist mastered the art of acrylic encapsulation. “I like how each nail varies and achieving depth and dimension with layers,” says Lopez. “I also love adding stones—it’s something I’ve been practicing a lot lately and would honestly add Swarovski Crystals to everything if I could.” She sources her inspiration from nail artists Kirsty Meakin, Priscilla van Uden, Vivian Xue Rahey and Chrystacle Cronk.
