Nail Art Tutorial: Longhorn Nails

Follow these step-by-step directions to create a cute Western longhorn nail using colors from the Gelish Urban Cowgirl collection!

Lonestar Longhorn 1Step 1: After completing your Gelish nail prep, apply a thin coat of From Rodeo to Rodeo Drive to the entire nail making sure to cap the free edge. Cure for 30 seconds in the 18G LED Light. Repeat for full coverage.

Lonestar Longhorn 2Step 2: Apply a thin coat of Tan My Hide to the nail and create a half moon on the top of the nail. Cure for 30 seconds and repeat for full coverage.

Lonestar Longhorn 3Step 3: Using Tan My Hide and a striper brush, create an outline of a longhorn skill. With the striper brush, fill in the longhorn skill and cure for 30 seconds. Repeat for full coverage.

Lonestar Longhorn 4Step 4: With Holy Cow-girl! and a striper brush, create an outline of the horns on the longhorn skull. Using the striper brush, fill in the horns. Cure for 30 seconds and repeat for desired coverage.

Lonestar Longhorn 5Step 5: Use black acrylic paint to outline the longhorn. Apply a thin coat of Top it Off sealer gel making sure to cap the free edge. Cure for 30 seconds. Using Nail Surface Cleanse and Wipe it Off lint-free wipes, cleanse the inhibition layer of the nail. Massage Nourish Cuticle Oil into the skin surrounding the nail plate. Enjoy your finished look.
