Missed Missoni? Put the Patterns on Your Nails

The Missoni for Target collection hit the store’s racks yesterday morning—and was sold out by 9 a.m. in most Los Angeles area locations. The much-touted collection adorned fashion pages in leading consumer magazines, spurring a craze that crashed Target’s website yesterday and led to the frenzy at Target stores across the country.

According to a blog at the LA Times, lines at the West Hollywood, California, store began forming around 5:30 a.m. yesterday.

If you’re like most, you’ve already missed the opportunity to purchase a zigzag pattern piece from the upscale Italian designer’s affordable collection—but don’t let that stop you from offering clients (and yourselves!) a piece of the action. In April’s Polished Look column, NAILPRO published a Missoni-inspired nail, which you can use to inspire more patterns to match the Target pieces.

Plus, there’s hope that Target will be restocking some of the items in select stores. And there’s always eBay! Items already are listed there for three to four times their price at Target.
