The beauty industry lost an icon in June with the passing of Rosalyn A. Barton.
Barton joined Spilo Worldwide more than 40 years ago and was a guiding influence for the company.
"As a friend and mentor, Roz was a unique individual, someone you could count on for honest opinions, thoughtful guidance and absolute loyalty," says Marc Spilo, president of Spilo Worldwide. "If one is measured in life by the love, respect and admiration of the people around them, then Roz Barton was truly a rich woman."
For years, Barton was responsible for overseeing day-to-day business at Spilo, and she was involved in purchasing, special projects and general management when she served as executive vice president. In 2005, the Professional Beauty Association awarded her the Lifetime Achievement Award to honor her impeccable work ethic, compassion and enthusiasm for the industry she loved.
