It can be tough for busy spa pros and clients alike to consume enough fruits and vegetables, especially when Valentine’s Day rolls around with all its chocolatey goodness! This year, try adding a Valentine’s themed smoothie to the mix.

This Love Potion Smoothie from health coach and nutrition expert Imogen Van Haagen delivers a healthy dose of fruit and herbs without skimping on flavor. The maca root powder offers some protein and iron, while the tasty cherries deliver plenty of fiber and vitamin C.

You can even add cinnamon, cardamom, almond butter or coconut butter to make the smoothie extra yummy, whether you’re serving it in couple’s treatments or enjoying with a loved one on your own.

"This smoothie is not only delicious, but so good for your gut,” says Van Haagen. “I always say: One delicious detox smoothie a day keeps the doctor away. Take care of your body, it's the only place you have to live."
