Jazmyn Simon of the new HBO comedy Ballers wore a mixed mani of Jamberry’s Cleopatra and Matte Black nail wraps to accent her black one shoulder jumpsuit.

Actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus (who took home the award for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy for her role in Veep) had her digits done by manicurist Emi Kudo before the show. Says Kudo, “To create an elegant, shimmering nude, we started with one coat of Essie Hi Maintenance, a sheer, pale pink over top one coat of Essie Imported Bubbly, a luxe golden mauve. Together the two perfectly complemented Julia’s eye-catching jewels.”

Orange is the New Black’s Taylor Schilling had a little help from manicurist Michelle Saunders for the event. “When Taylor’s stylist sent an inspiration image for a nude nail, I new Essie’s Topless and Barefoot would be the perfect shade,” shares Saunders. “It seamlessly coordinated with her bright yellow Chloé dress. Essie’s Gel Setter top coat pulled it all together and left a hint of shine.”

Empire actress Taraji P. Henson had lace nail art! Her manicurist Michelle Saunder shared, “Taraji immediately knew she wanted a nude, blush nail with lace details – something her character “Cookie” would wear. We started with Essie Ladylike, and elegant mauve. Essie’s Licorice was then used for the details at the base. To emulate the look of black lace, we hand painted a faint floral design on the nail, using a tiny brush.”

Actress Emma Roberts (of Fox’s Scream Queens) had a blush colored dress and wanted a soft pink nail to match. Her manicurist, Christina Aviles shared: “We wanted a blush shade that had a little more of a pink to it, so that it would not get lost in her look – [Essie Ladylike] ended up being the perfect color.”

Sarah Hyland arrived on the red carpet in the perfect shade of rich burgundy. her manicurist for the night, Christina Aviles shared: “To accomplish Sarah’s nail look, we used Essie Berry Naughty followed by two coats of Essie Matte About You. The dramatic matte and berry color combination could not have coordinated better with Sarah’s dress.”

Viola Davis made history by becoming the first African American woman to win an Emmy for Best Actress in a Drama Series for her role in How to Get Away with Murder. Her digits were well-prepped to receive the award. Her manicurist Julie Kandalec shares: “Essie’s Licorice perfectly popped against Viola’s black and white dress and for added shine we used Essie’s Gel Setter.”

Mom star Allison Janney took home her seventh Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series – but her manicure remained simple. Manicurist Michelle Saunders divulged the polish name: “We used Essie’s Wrap Me Up. The chalky bone shade perfectly contrasted against the shiny beaded details of the dress.”

Veep’s Anna Chlumsky looked princess-like on the red carpet. “We used Essie Wrap Me Up on Anna,” shared manicurist Michelle Saunders. “The chalky bone shade perfectly contrasted against the shiny beaded details of the dress.”

Games of Thrones’ Gwendoline Christie looked ethereal in her soft ivory and pink gown, with a light nail to match. “Essie’s Mademoiselle allowed Gwendoline’s elegantly patterned dress to take center stage,” shared Christie’s manicurist Alicia Torello.

Downton Abbey actress Laura Carmichael stunned in floral, and her shiny gold nails caught our attention as well. Her manicurist, Alicia Torello tells us: “Against Laura’s black, floral dress, Essie’s Good as Gold, a metallic hue, gave edge to her elegant look.”

Orange is the New Black actress Dascha Polanco gave us a little taste of nail art. “To complement Dascha’s red carpet dress, we went with a beautiful navy color that’s perfect for fall – Essie’s Midnight Cami,” tells manicurist Gracie J. “Then, playing on the metallic trend seen throughout the S/S 2016 NYFW shows, we accented the nail with a rose gold foil to give that perfect finishing touch.”

American Horror Story: Hotel’s Angela Bassett made an impact with a black and white geometric dress and wine red nails that matched her earrings. “A creamy, deep and luscious hue, Essie’s Berry Naughty was the perfect shade for giving Angela a nail look that stood out,” explained manicurist Michelle Saunders.
