Extra Sweet

Extra SweetThe famously chic rooftop terrace of Seattle’s Kensington Gardens played host to the first annual BABTAC/CIBTAC Beauty Awards last June. The Confederation of International Beauty Therapy & Cosmetology (CIBTAC) and the British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology (BABTAC) joined together to present a prestigious award to Samantha Sweet of West Yorkshire, England-based Sweet Squared, CND’s exclusive distributor in the United Kingdom. Sweet took home the title of Outstanding Contribution to the Nail Industry 2010, an award designed to recognize individuals and companies who inspire others and have the drive to consistently produce new, innovative ideas.
“I am extremely honored to accept BABTAC’s 2010 award for Outstanding Contribution to the Nail Industry. I have been fortunate enough to be inspired by amazing industry mentors who have instilled in me a love and passion for all things nails!” exclaims Sweet. “This award is as much for me as it is for them—Gigi Rouse, Jan Arnold, Rhonda Benbo, Jim Nordstrom, Marian Newman and my husband Samuel Sweet. The best feeling in the world is to get up every day and do something you love. I still love inspiring and helping others and pushing our industry forward.” The award was another milestone for the company, which launched one of the most successful and revolutionary products in the beauty industry, CND’s Shellac.
