A Helping Hand

These days, the news is typically filled with troubling segments that make you never want to leave your house. However, last night, to my surprise, I was watching CBS news and saw an uplifting segment that displayed the kind-hearted nature of beauty professionals! The segment featured the Beauty Bus Foundation, which is new non-profit organization that is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for home bound, terminally or chronically ill patients and their primary care givers by providing in-home beauty and grooming treatments. This free service empowers clients and gives them a much-needed respite during a difficult time.
The client featured in the segment received a manicure from a Beauty Bus volunteer. She was thrilled and touched to have someone come to her home to offer some much needed pampering. If you’d like to see this incredibly moving segment for yourself, click here.
The Beauty Bus Foundation is currently looking for more beauty professional volunteers. If you would like to participate, please visit www.beautybus.org for more information. Also, if you know of any people who would be a good candidate for receiving the Beauty Bus services, please also direct them to the website to fill out an application.
I hope you enjoy the segment as much as I did!
