Calling All Nail Artists!

Nail competitions are not only a chance for you to test your skills, but they’re also a great way to bolster confidence in your nail craft. Now, Orly International and Beauty Forum have joined in the competitive spirit with the 1st Annual ORLY Global Nail Art Competition! The theme? Pin-Up! (Think the glam gals of the ’50s.)

The rules are simple:

Your Fantasy design must be made from professional nail products (colored liquid-and-powder acrylic, light-cured gel, wraps and resin, polish, rhinestones, etc.). Here’s the clincher: All color lacquers and nail art colors MUST be ORLY products!

Once the nails are complete, you must submit a written statement describing your interpretation of the theme.

Deadline for all entries is midnight, July 16, 2011. Winners of the online judging will be announced on July 22, 2011 and will then be eligible to participate in the August 9 Regionals. The Regional competition will be held in Los Angeles on August 11, 2011 and the Grand Finals will be held in Las Vegas in September.

And with an entry fee of only $20, there’s not reason not to participate!
